Privacy and contact

Monthly Climate has no user accounts and requires no sign-up. You can use the entire site without telling us anything about yourself.

What we collect

Server logs

The web server logs requests for operations and debugging: timestamp, the page requested, HTTP status and response time. Logs rotate and are deleted automatically after seven days.

Cookies

We set none. The site uses no tracking cookies, no third-party scripts and no embedded resources from other domains. Every page renders from our own server.

What we do not have

No user accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no advertising. There is no analytics either. If that changes, this page is updated before the change goes live, and a consent mechanism is in place from day one where one is required.

Accuracy and corrections

Climate values come from ERA5 / ERA5-Land reanalysis and are reproduced unchanged. Scores, rankings and daylight figures are calculated by us — the methodology page says exactly which is which, and shows the formulas.

Reanalysis models a grid cell, not a single point. For a mountain valley or a small island the values are an approximation. If a figure looks clearly wrong for a place you know, tell us — that is useful.

Not travel advice

These pages describe what the weather has typically done over 30 years. They do not forecast, and climate normals say nothing about any particular day. Check a forecast before you travel.
